My son has been with Knowledge Key Learning Centre for the past three years now. The school is run by Principal Christina in the Montessori method of teaching which involves sand art tracing, elements based spelling, beads threading extremely valuable in the early years as the kids learn through play and interaction rather than by rote learning. They also help in the development of gross and fine motor skills that is very important for children at this age. The school has an excellent collection of children books which enrich the kids' story time and instill imagination in young children. The school curriculum follows clear themes every term followed by a field trip involving a place relevant to that particular theme at the end of the term to reinforce what they have learned over time. They have a dedicated Mandarin teacher who introduces basics of the language - both spoken and writing in a very interesting manner that my son has developed a love for the language and uses it while interacting with kids at the playground. The school has good and clean facilities, incorporates outdoor playtime once every week. Overall, it is an excellent pre-school with very caring, friendly and patient teachers who make the whole school experience joyous and meaningful.

**Reading Program**

The Reading Program is designed to enhance children’s reading abilities as well as a desire to learn to read. Our curriculum will be using the Montessori language materials combined with activities and Phonics games which will be interesting and stimulating.

The Reader Program covers the 5 reading elements in teaching children how to read. They are:

- Phonics
- Fluency
- Vocabulary
