The 5-Point Intelligence (5PI) uses early childhood education to equip a child with the necessary life skills, gifted education to develop higher order thinking skills and multiple intelligences to engage their young minds. Fully supported by neuroscience and after 60,000 hours of research and development, this approach has been tried-and-tested on more than 15,000 students in Singapore with over 17 years of proven success. The 5PI curriculum was designed by our founding CEO, to nurture the 5 Courage Skills in young children. Altogether, they develop the “whole child with higher order thinking abilities” that prepares them for Primary 1 schooling, for even greater learning and achieving. This curriculum is supported by a treasury of over 200 proprietary readers, activity books and learning resources – all developed with the curriculum expertise of their founder and team of education specialists.

GUG Preschool accepts children all around, not only enrolling those with higher IQ but also those with special needs. The school has seen successful graduates include children with cerebral palsy, hearing impairments, dyslexia and autistic spectrum disorder. GUG Preschool does not conduct pre-admission screening nor do they require children to have high IQ for enrolment. However, through this curriculum, 96% of GUG graduates have received academic or leadership accolades from their Primary School or Ministry of Education, are among the Top 10 ranking in their respective schools and 25% of the students are accepted into the Gifted Education Programme in Primary School.

Under the Growing Up Gifted brand, we also offer 2 enrichment programmes for young children.

1. GUG Growing Smart introduces young children from as young as 6 months old, to the world of learning through exciting experiments and stimulating activities, inspiring children to become avid explorers of language, music, science, art and math.

The first school to launch play-based phonics for babies and toddlers, Growing Smart is where children get a head start with strong reading and literacy skills. As young as 18 months old, children are able to master the phonics skills necessary for a strong foundation in spoken language, reading and writing.

Growing Smart is available currently at our Tampines centre.

2. GUG’s Book + Pen Masters programme focuses on teaching smart techniques for learning phonics, reading and creative writing skills. Honing these skills equips children with proven tools and techniques so that they are undaunted by the rigours of school, and ready to conquer its challenges.

A result of over 20 years of intensive research, this programme is supported by quality learning tools including the award-winning Zoo-phonics system, Smart Phonics Storybooks, Book + Pen Workbooks and Super Writing Workbooks.
