LITTLE VILLAGE ON THE GRANGE

Little Village Preschool is a relatively new establishment. It operates only a single centre in Singapore along Grange Road. It is currently headed by Ms Sheena Ang as the principal, who was awarded the MOE Outstanding Kindergarten Teacher Award in 2010. The centre boost a large outdoor area with multiple playgrounds, sand pits, swings and cycling tracks for children to play and explore. The centre is not SPARK certified.

Little Village adopts an inquiry-based learning curriculum that is closely related to the Play-Based methodologies. The centre believes that children learn the most when they interact with materials and their environment in a fun and interesting way. As such, the curriculum comprise mostly of outdoor activities where children has the freedom to play and explore in a fun and safe environment. Children also have the freedom to choose the activities they want to do indoor. Teachers usually play the role of facilitators, with the lessons being student-initiated.

Little Village also offers a bilingual programme for its students as an enrichment programme.

Little Village offers program for children aged 18 months - 6 years old via its various programme. All the programmes are offered at its only centre along Grange Road.
