History & Background
NAFA Arts Preschool (formerly NAFA Arts Kindergarten) is the first arts-themed preschool in Singapore.
Our unique curriculum encompasses both academic and arts education in music, art, speech and drama and dance, to inspire learning and growth through the arts.
We build our core curriculum around six domains, based on Ministry of Education's kindergarten curriculum framework, Nurturing Early Learners i.e. Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Social and Emotional Development, Motor Skills Development, Discovery of the World and the Arts.
Children will enjoy at least an hour of art lesson daily. This rich exposure to art not only develops their aesthetic abilities, but promotes higher academic achievement and social emotional skills.
Our fine arts programme is designed and conducted by our very own industry veterans. It covers the following art forms:
Music (Keyboard and introduction to a variety of instruments)
Visual Arts (2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional art)
Dance (Creative movement and ballet)
Speech and Drama (Bilingual)
A concerted effort is devoted to the development of the NAFA Arts Preschool. Our team has travelled to Sydney, New York, Vancouver and Reggio Emilia to understand first-hand the best practices of the top preschools in these regions.
We also provide a bilingual programme whereby children will be immersed in a Chinese and English language environment throughout the day. This supports a strong foundation for language acquisition at NAFA Arts Preschool.
