After visiting several preschools, we finally chose Nest, and looking back, it was the best decision we could have made for our son. We loved the balanced curriculum, the beautiful campus, and the fact that the school fees were very reasonable. The school isn’t too big, which makes it feel more personal, and from day one, the staff, especially Principal Miss Joy, who made us feel so assured.
What touched me most was the empathy shown by the teachers. The transition into school life is such a big step, and Miss Joy really understood that. She didn’t just send us generic updates; she took the time to share thoughtful, detailed feedback, along with suggestions on how we could support our son at home. That kind of care and attention meant so much to us as parents.
It’s been about six months now, and we honestly couldn’t be happier. Our son is thriving, and we know it’s because he’s in an environment that is not only professional but also warm, sensitive, and genuinely caring. Nest has truly become a second home for him, and for us, it’s everything we hoped to find in a school.

While we are Singaporeans, our family has been based overseas for many years and my children are students at Guidepost (within Nest's HK network of schools). When we made plans to come back to Singapore, I was desperately in search of a school where we could continue the Montessori style of learning that our children have been accustomed to and flourished under in Hong Kong, with minimal disruptions. When we heard that Nest had opened in Singapore and at a location so close to our home, I was beyond delighted although a little hesitant as to how easily my children would be able to adjust to the environment at Nest. I had long heard about the differences in preschool systems between Hong Kong and Singapore. However, my fears were evidently unfounded. Even before we arrived, Ian and Ms Latha (the principal) very kindly walked me through the pedagogy and the onboarding process respectively and their confidence from the outset in turn gave me the confidence to take that leap of faith to enroll my children into Nest. They gave us the greatest assurance as to what we needed to prepare and expect during our children's transition to Nest and what we should expect in the coming days. But effectively, we only needed minimal preparations given the seamless transfer of apps and parenting tools that we already use in Hong Kong etc, conversations by both guides in Hong Kong and Singapore (sharing my children's academic progress, personalities and traits) and in turn, we had the best surprise of seeing our kids adjust almost instantly (save for some separation anxiety from my son who had only started school earlier this year, which quickly resolved after the first week). I was very impressed by the effort to ensure almost identical classroom environment and materials were, albeit with some local adjustments, which undoubtedly helped my children to settle in so quickly. What I greatly appreciated was also how where there are differences in scheduling/environment etc, Ms Latha was always open to having discussions on how (where reasonable), the school could accommodate our needs and if not, we could always have open conversations about the rationale behind the differences and how we could best help our children adjust to the changes. The entire Guidepost/Nest network teams have been beyond helpful and onboard with our children's roaming experience and it wasn't even 2 weeks that I felt both my children were fully assimilated into schooling life at Nest. All credits to the Guidepost and Nest teams for such a smooth roaming experience. I am already planning our next roaming and would strongly recommend it to the parents of my children's classmates at Guidepost and Nest!

The Principal leads with both heart and clarity, showing true passion for early childhood education. Together with the caring, observant, and patient teachers, they’ve created a nurturing environment that gives us full confidence our child is in good hands.
Though our son took some time to adjust, we’ve seen small but meaningful progress each day. He’s gradually opening up, finding comfort, and gaining confidence in this beautifully prepared space.
We’re truly thankful for the amazing team who treat every child like their own. It’s a nurturing and supportive space that reflects the true essence of early childhood care—especially with the Montessori values we deeply appreciate.
Highly recommended for any parent looking for a loving and respectful place for their little one to grow and thrive. ?

We are so glad to have found this Montessori preschool for our daughter. From the moment we stepped in, the newly renovated space felt warm, calm, and thoughtfully designed—it really sets the tone for a nurturing environment.
One of the first things we loved was that there’s no uniform policy. It might seem small, but it reflects how the school values each child’s individuality and comfort. But what really made a difference for us was Principal Joy. She’s incredibly genuine and caring. She took the time to really get to know our child and helped all of us feel at ease during the big transition into school life. Her detailed updates and open communication gave us so much peace of mind.
We also really appreciated how the school listened to parent feedback. When they tried switching to catered meals and it didn’t quite work, they actually took that feedback seriously and brought back their in-house cook. It’s those kinds of thoughtful decisions that show how much they care about the kids' well-being.
Since starting here, we’ve seen such a boost in our daughter’s confidence. She’s now pouring from glass pitchers, handling real glassware, and even dressing herself without help. These everyday life skills have made her so proud of herself, and we love seeing that independence grow.
Another big reason we chose this school is the language environment. There are two Mandarin-speaking guides and one English-speaking guide in her class. We don’t speak Mandarin at home, so it means so much to us that she’s being exposed to her mother tongue in such a natural, immersive way.
All in all, this preschool has been everything we hoped for and more. The care, thoughtfulness, and support from everyone here has made our child’s first school experience a truly positive one. Highly, highly recommend.

One of the very few authentic Montessori pre-school on the island. We have seen tremendous improvement in our 3yo independence and gross and fine motor skills development in just a few months.
Here’s a longer review of the positives and also some watchouts
- we do love what the new management has done and has largely delivered on their promises: brought authentic Montessori here, relatively well-thought out execution which I think largely enabled by the teachers, true Montessori open space; renovated, airy, minimalist, focused, no distraction, taken in parents feedback on in-house cooking vs catering. We hope they’d have the will to continue with the authentic Montessori approach and not to be pressured to be a mixed Montessori method, which is what most Montessori pre-schools have conformed to, due to pressure by parents/market demand.
- some positives other than the Montessori approach, which I appreciate: no school uniform, minimalist layout which enabled better hygiene management, good balance of Chinese and English teaching (my son’s mastery of Chinese has improved significantly while still mainly English speaking), better app, neighbourhood environment which is splendid (not industrial area, which we don’t like- congested during peak hours, polluted air, no clean open space), that also comes with some tradeoffs (no swimming pool, no fancy music classes, no library with millions of books, no gym).
- we think the teachers are great; they enabled the transition to Montessori well and ensured the kids are all very well cared for. The catch is that they are also learning in parallel the Montessori approach (only one is experienced/expert in Montessori).
- we have now frequent communication to parents without lowering care quality, which is a strong plus (ie. Daily updates not too many but enough to know what the kids do at school). Granted, we are now at half max capacity so I’m rather anxious of how the care quality and communication will be like, when the school nears max capacity.
- one lesser known benefit, is that we get to enroll our kids for a week or few days at any of the Nest school in the region like Bali or Shanghai or Hong Kong etc if you’re traveling. We thought this is a great plus as it enables opportunity for kids to experience different environments.
- diversity, I love it that we have a diverse mix of students and parents and teachers and Nest brings in an international perspective without yet being diluted by our very academic focused approach. This is often an overlooked point but is ever more important.
