Special Enrichment Programmes
Chinese:
The Repton Schoolhouse Chinese Enrichment Programme gives children a ‘head–start’ In Chinese language learning. Our goal is to build a strong foundation for children. They are encouraged to learn progressively in a systematic manner. During every lesson, children experience and engage in the four main aspects of the language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Spelling is introduced and Hanyu Pinyin is taught. The children enjoy learning through games, songs and rhymes.
Music & Movement:
Music enrichment helps to improve children’s memory, cognitive learning skills and their ability to express emotions. The children explore vocals through song, chants and rhymes, develop aurally through listening skills, creative movement through dance and body percussion, instrumentally through drum, percussion, tone bars, etc.
Coding and Robotics:
The children will take their first steps into real-world programming. Through our multi-sensory approach, the children experience a strong foundation in computational thinking from graphics-based coding courses.
Art & Design:
Repton Enrichment offers a quality art programme for students to gain mastery in art making. Through our programme, we aim to develop each child’s creativity and facilitate their learning and understanding of art. Art techniques are built upon and skills in drawing, painting, and manipulation of different media are explored facilitate the children’s understanding of art processes and enrich their imagination.
Ballet:
The Repton Schoolhouse Ballet Enrichment Programme is designed to give children both an appreciation for this art form and mastery of basic dance movements that can be applied across the full range of dance styles in the future, from hip-hop to pointe work. Additionally, these classes help children to learn to follow instructions and gain a sense of discipline. They learn coordination, balance and how to control their bodies in motion. Performing before an audience builds their confidence and self-esteem.
