Special Enrichment Programmes
At Stamford American, we accommodate global language learning for children as young as 18 months. Through our World Language Program, we offer daily instruction in 3 of the world’s most widely spoken languages—Mandarin, Spanish and English. Coupled with our community-based Mother Tongue Program, Stamford American's language curriculum offers literacy in more than a dozen languages.
Students who are keen on dedicating more time and effort into learning a second language can join the Bilingual Program at no extra cost. Stamford American also offers an English as an Additional Language (EAL) program.
Stamford American also has an Innovation Center that can be adapted to accommodate various creative activities. Together with the Makerspace, these spaces make up a creative hub that inspires students to use different learning technologies to access new ideas and methods. Everyday immersion in technology is supported through a 1:1 iPad Program for children in Kindergarten 2 to Grade 5 , and a 1:1 MacBook Program for Middle and Secondary School students.
Music, Performing Arts and Visual Arts are also included in the curriculum and Stamford American is one of the few schools in Singapore with onsite SAT and ACT test centers, offering college preparatory tests for secondary students from Grade 10. There is also a dedicated Academic and College Counseling Team that is tuned in to the requirements of universities all over the world.
Stamford American is equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, theatre, science labs, quiet study spaces, spacious libraries, gyms, pools, etc, and our teachers thrive in this well-resourced environment and leverage it to promote active learning for our students. Their teachers are not only professionals who possess deep knowledge of content and pedagogy, but they also know how to build relationships and help students feel safe and valued.
