Introduction
The Yamaha Contempo Music School was set up in 1988 to address the shifts in demand to learn pop music. Mindful of the lifestyle needs of working adults, we are dedicated to help students from beginners to advanced musicians, learn and improve performance techniques comfortably and enjoyably. Our lessons utilise authentic Yamaha teaching materials, our curriculum cultivated by the rich history of Yamaha’s education system. Repertoires used during lessons feature a diverse range of musical genres for all ages. Together with the use of technology, a wide range of courses – including band, vocal, wind and string ensemble, and solo keyboard – are made available for students.
Similar to the Yamaha Music School, our group lessons offer highly effective instructions and meaningful interaction between fellow students. Group lessons allow students to learn the sense of harmony and balance required when performing ensembles – one of the many advantages that cannot be experienced in individual lessons.
