AWARD-WINNING PRESCHOOL

A good education seeks out the potential in each child and plays their strengths.

The uncovering process is not always polished, but we take nurturing steps with your child and inspire them beyond academic excellence. At Learning Vision, successes are made possible through the passionate team of educators-leaders who invested their lives into nurturing children. From all the milestones such as, spelling the word ‘P-O-T-E-N-T-I-A-L’ to speaking to a crowd, our educators are there to stretch and challenge the little ones’ character skills from 2 months to 6 years old.

SO, WHAT REALLY MAKES A SCHOOL?

  • WINNING AT EVERY MILESTONE: I enrolled my daughter, then two months old, in Learning Vision due to its convenient location and its solid infant care. When I compare her to other children who did not undergo the Learning Vision curriculum, I found that Sarah has grown to become more outspoken. She has become more responsive to people and is not afraid to meet unfamiliar faces. I also observe that she has a healthy curiosity where she likes to explore places and things to understand how they work. I am very happy that she can speak more words than before, being able to pronounce words like ‘mummy’ and ‘daddy’ clearly, and even knows how to say ‘thank you’ when we give her things. Sarah having hit some milestones earlier than expected has been heartening for me, such as being able to walk quite steadily in her first year. I am grateful to be closely involved in her progress thanks to the timely updates by her teachers, where their meticulous care was paramount in her growth. This extends to their concern for her outside school hours, like their follow-up phone calls to check on how she is doing when she is not at school.

  • THE LITTLE HABITS THAT DETERMINE FUTURE VICTORIES: I’ve completed my third year studying Economics in Barnard at Columbia University in New York. What I do remember, despite all these years, is our daily nap and bath times. Living in New York City and being a student at Columbia, it is easy to overlook the simple rituals that I took for granted as a kid. I remember my preschool teacher teaching us the proper way to shower and how I would lay contentedly on my mattress feeling fresh and smelling like baby lotion. Even now as I see my commitments, appointments, assignments and obligations increase exponentially from the time I was a kid, I always set aside time to shower and rest. I am certain that I learned some of my daily habits from my teachers in Learning Vision and as I look back now, I realise the importance of teaching young children these skills. Although priorities change and relationships evolve, these habits stick with you for the rest of your life.

WHO YOU BECOME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT YOU BECOME.

I decided to become an early childhood educator because I love knowledge and what it can do. I love to learn and it gives me great joy to share this passion with young children. There is something alluring about working with the young children; to see learning take place before your eyes, to watch them mature and grow into responsible adults. The best part of being an early childhood educator is seeing the academic, social, emotional; and physical growth of our young children and knowing that I had contributed to those positive changes. Inspiring even one child is a great feeling and it’s worth every moment.

What I enjoy most after all these years is seeing the look on a child’s face when their accomplish something they have been working hard on, and how the centre has become my second home.
