Before the change of operator, this was the best school I had ever seen, with truly committed teachers and happy students during drop-off and pick-up. When my child first started PG, it took him only eight working days to stop crying during drop-off. He was always enthusiastic about going to school.... When my child first started PG, it took him only eight working days to stop crying during drop-off. He was always enthusiastic about going to school.
However, the school’s standards have dropped significantly since the change of operator. During the leadership transition, parents were assured that there would be no major changes to the teaching staff. Yet within just a few months of the licence transfer, there was a high turnover of staff. As a result, there has been a constant shortage of manpower.
My child has since become increasingly unwilling to attend school and has shown a drastic change in behaviour. During pick-up, he often appears unkempt, with dried mucus stains on his face — something that never happened under the previous management, where hygiene standards were well maintained.
Several concerns were raised regarding the school’s new direction and communication lapses, but the replies received were vague and insincere. Even when hazardous items were found in the foyer, the management’s response was simply that “it wouldn’t happen,” which reflects an irresponsible attitude toward safety. Action was only taken months later. There were also many instances when my child had injuries, yet I was never informed. Teachers under the previous management were more meticulous and would inform us even about the slightest wound.
It was also disappointing to hear the management openly complain about every outgoing teacher instead of addressing ongoing issues. This lack of professionalism and accountability has caused many parents to lose confidence.

My child has been with Picket Fence since Playgroup, and over the years I’ve witnessed many changes in both the teaching team and the management. I truly appreciate how the current management has been working hard to create a supportive and effective learning environment.

I truly appreciate how the current management has been working hard to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
Under their leadership, my child’s development, especially in Mandarin has improved significantly compared to before. The teachers are patient, dedicated, and genuinely care about the children’s progress.
Thank you to the school and the teachers for your effort and commitment. I’m grateful for the positive growth I see in my child and would highly recommend Picket Fence to other parents.

Based on that, I would decide whether to send my child to school or let him rest at home for a day or two. The school also engaged a professional cleaning company to carr... Am I the only one with a different opinion? I was always informed through the communication app whenever a new case was reported. Based on that, I would decide whether to send my child to school or let him rest at home for a day or two. The school also engaged a professional cleaning company to carry out misting. With the new management split the cook-cum-clean task to hiring one cooking aunty and one cleaning aunty, I’m actually quite happy with the changes.

First, the management is a mess. Under the newest leadership, there's no clear structure or direction. Instead of improving, things are getting worse. Parents have even experienced double deductions from GIRO payments — and these errors are not being explained or rectified properly.
Then comes the t... First, the management is a mess. Under the newest leadership, there's no clear structure or direction. Instead of improving, things are getting worse. Parents have even experienced double deductions from GIRO payments — and these errors are not being explained or rectified properly.
Then comes the teaching quality. Relief teachers are not trained well. Some don't even know the class timetable or the students' needs. They just come in, sit down, and let the students do whatever they want. There’s no structure, no lesson plan, no meaningful engagement.
When it comes to manpower, it's another disaster. Teachers are stretched thin, and support staff are either underqualified or unavailable. As a result, students are left idle most of the time, wandering, chatting, or doing nothing productive during class hours.
And what about consistency? There is no proper class teacher system. Form teachers are changed so frequently that students don't even have time to build trust or stability. In some classes, the form teacher has changed multiple times within the same term.
This is not just inconvenient — it’s damaging to the children’s learning and emotional development. The school doesn’t seem to care.
If this continues, more and more families will lose trust, and it will affect not just enrollment, but the students' futures too. Something needs to change."

Newest management head and admin are very slow to respond/poor communication even with internal staff. Frequent teacher turnover and lack of consistency for new teachers in classes. Hygiene and safety problems affect my child. Constant renovation works, dirty and many HFMD cases. Not recommended. My child has been in the centre for 4 years, and both the admin and teaching staff were wonderful. Teachers are very professional, and enable students to have fun while learning, including hands-on experiments to spark their curiosity, cultural activities like calligraphy and festival celebrations t... My child has been in the centre for 4 years, and both the admin and teaching staff were wonderful. Teachers are very professional, and enable students to have fun while learning, including hands-on experiments to spark their curiosity, cultural activities like calligraphy and festival celebrations to nurture their love for language and culture, and charity projects to nurture children's empathy. On top of that, my child has been dearly loved by all of her teachers, who would braid her hair after their naps and shower her with positive comments to reinforce good habits and mindset. We are very thankful that the school has prepared her well for the transition into P1.

My daughter was in this school. Playgroup. Start work just for 1 month, She came back home with bruises everywhere. Head swollen, Those bruises was in the inner thighs areas. We called police and investigation going on and school did not inform parents any anything at all, they are just push the res... My daughter was in this school. Playgroup.
