THE LITTLE SKOOL-HOUSE @ ALEXANDRA

Establish in 1994, Little Skool House is part of the NTUC First Campus cooperatives. It has since expanded to 16 centres in Singapore. It is headed by Ms Ho Yin Fong, who holds a Masters of Science in Child Development and Early Childhood Education and has over 20 years of experience in the early childhood education field. She is also the academic director of the SEED institute. A number of teachers at the centres have been recipients of the Outstanding Pre-School Teacher Award. 11 of its centres are SPARK certified.

For children aged from 2 months - 3 years old, Little Skool House take on a relationship-based approach in the design of its curriculum. At this stage, the school believes that young children need good, positive and secure attachments and relationships in order to develop life-long positive learning dispositions. For children aged 4 - 6 years old, the school takes on a literacy approach in the design of its curriculum, with the focus being on building up reading and writing skills. Children will be involved in activities like drawings, painting, outdoor exploration, sports & games, math, project work, reading and speaking.
