Education Philosophy
The preschool strive to make establishment a place where children learn through adventure and exploration. Children will be taught the tools and skills that will enable them to explore and research any topic that interests them. The Shaw curriculum is a combination of multiple educational philosophies, such as Reggio Emilia, Waldorf Steiner and Montessori. Both outdoor and indoor activities form the daily activities, with a focus on the use of projects as a tool for learning. Teachers will listen to the child to understand their interest and plan the lesson accordingly. For example, if the children are more interested in the moon when the topic is about space in general, the teacher will switch the topic to only focus on the moon.
