Smiling Star International Review and Fees - Child Care Centre

History & Background

Established in 2001, Smiling Star International Preschool currently operates 1 childcare centre and 1 student care centre in Singapore. It was founded by Mr. Jimmy New, who was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) awarded by the President of Singapore on National Day 9th Aug 2005. The school was awarded the Asia Pacific Brands Award in 2012 and the Singapore Brands Award.

Education Philosophy

Smiling Star International Preschool strives to nurture children into global citizen to prepare them for an increasingly globalized world. As such, the school will equip children with the necessary skills to thrive in a globalized world from a young age. For example, the school adopts a trilingual curriculum instead of a bilingual curriculum, where English, Chinese and a third language (e.g. Tamil, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese) are taught. For moral education, the school adopted the "Di Zi Gui", a set of moral principles based on Confucius' teachings.

Special Enrichment Programmes

Phonics, Speedy Chinese Character Recognition Programme and Malay Language.
