ABOUT
Mrs Jasmine Yap was former Level Head of Mathematics Department at Hwa Chong Institution (College Section) from Jan 2011 to June 2014 and had been teaching @ Hwa Chong for about 13 years. Under her leadership, the recent graduated batch of students from the Year 2013 has attained the highest percentage distinction since the Integrated Programme has started in 2006 and also highest among all the Junior Colleges in Singapore. Her innovative and interesting teaching methods have won her the BEST TEACHING PRACTICE AWARD (First Prize) in the Year 2008 and Year 2010 and her caring nature also won her the MOST CARING TEACHER AWARD in the Year 2009 through students’ nominations back in Hwa Chong Institution.
Mrs Jasmine Yap graduated from the National University of Singapore with a First Class Honours in Mathematics. She was also the recipient of the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal which was awarded to the best performing student pursuing their Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Science (NUS).
