House on the Hill is one of Singapore’s best Montessori preschools. Founded in 2012, they are a family run business focused on an approach of hands-on experiential learning tailored for each individual child. Passionate advocates for the educational excellence of the Method devised by Dr. Maria Montessori, they stay true to its values with features such as mixed-age classes, vertical learning and a 3-hour work cycle.

They have four campuses - Balmoral Crescent, Hollandse Club, Mount Sophia and Pasir Panjang. The schools share in common an emphasis on heritage and respect for nature. Each campus has warm and inviting classrooms filled with natural materials, and beautiful outdoor playgrounds in cosy residential areas, perfect for children to explore, discover and learn.

Children are intrinsically motivated to learn to love learning whilst developing life skills such as confidence, creativity and independence. Their bespoke Mandarin programme is taught by a team of highly qualified and dedicated teachers, focusing on the key skills of listening, speaking, communicating clearly and writing, through a variety of games, activities, and cultural experiences. The elective full-afternoon Mandarin immersion programme 天天向上 (tiān tiān xiàng shàng), is also very popular with House on the Hill parents.

Classes with their specially-trained Montessori educators start at 18+ month olds to 6 years old. The Balmoral Crescent campus also houses the Nido, for infants aged 2 months and up.
